Using waste materials as a starting point, annhoff has created sculptures in a playful, experimental way that conserve resources and allow associations in all directions. For her, they are „tree mutants“ in response to „corona mutants.“ They are also to be understood as an accusation not to continue to stand idly by and watch the advancing global warming and the loss of intact habitats.
Since 2021 annhoff has been working on the cycles „Experiment Harz“ and „die Erde brennt“. In them, she attempts to document and artistically implement the dramatic forest dieback throughout Germany and beyond. In order to convey the density and complexity of the problems, she has developed three-dimensional photo collages and assemblages in cassette frames.
